The Blue Protocol Database team is here to provide the community with a detailed and expansive deep dive article covering all of the information found on the Japanese livestream from February 28th, 2023. This article’s information flow will be chronological to mirror what happened during the developer livestream. Additionally, if you prefer to listen to the voice translations in real time, feel free to check out our live translation video below. Let’s begin!

Network Test Issues Explained: On Track For March.

Left, General Management Director Suzuki. Center, Executive Producer Shimooka. Right, Development Director Fukuzaki.

We are greeted with a warm welcome from three (3) familiar faces. Coming to us live, from a more intimate and smaller environment this time around, with Shimooka stating that they feel a bit odd about not being in their usual streaming location.

The topics being discussed during this brief stream are as followed:

– About the progress of the Network Test fix.
– Introduction to the Benchmark Software (Available to download for free on March 1st, 2023)

Regarding the Network Test delay: The developer would like to inform us that the critical bugs found at during last minute testing – they’re on schedule to fix the previously mentioned errors. The developers stated that they are now working on the secondary bug fixes before they conduct the Network Test. They’ll first perform a larger-scale internal test to iron out the kinks. The Network Test is targeted to be announced early to mid March of 2023.

Benchmark Software Coming March 1st, 2023.

In preparation for the Japanese launch of BLUE PROTOCOL – a Benchmark Software will be released to the public to download for free, on March 1st, 2023. This software will test your PC specifications to give a general understanding on how BLUE PROTOCOL will run when released. There was also a language option visable during the Livestream. Perhaps an English option may be available.

You are able to stream and share the contents of the Benchmark Software. However, please be mindful of the Media Usage Agreement & Licencing on the Japanese official website when creating content around such assets. Datamining of the Benchmark Client is explicitely forbidden and not allowed – stated by the Developers in this very stream.

Benchmark Software Demonstration

You may preview a party simulation & how created characters would look together.

As previously stated, the Benchmark Software will be available for download on March 1st, 2023 at 12:00hrs JST. The required space to dowload the software is around 3.5GB – please allocate sufficient space if attempting to download this product.

The Benchmark is free to use by anyone. You may freely* use the images, screenshots, streams, and recordings captured by this software without alteration of the original content’s intended use.

Benchmark Video Demonstrations

The Benchmark Software comes complete with the same Character Creator feature that will launch with the Japanese Version of the game.

Here you are able to fiddle around with your created character! From lighting effects, to unique poses – showcased in different clothing as well. Get a headstart with the ability to save presets and import them to the full launch of the game! (Names cannot be pre-saved – the Benchmark also limits you to the Blade Warden class at this time)

Using your character presets – you may display your full party in different poses, locations, weather, and times of day! (A full breakdown and instructional article on how to navigate through the Benchmark Software will be available at a later date)

This concludes the information that was provided in the Blue Protocol Communication #6.2. The developers have stated that there will be another BLUE PROTOCOL Developer Livestream about the Japanese Network Test which will discuss further instructions about the Network Test implimentation.
